MILWAUKEE, W.I. – The Henderson Silver Knights will take on the Milwaukee Admirals in the second matchup of their road series and their final game against Milwaukee this year. The Silver Knights will look to grab two crucial points in the standings after a 2-1 shootout loss to the Admirals on Saturday evening. Puck drop is set for 1 p.m. PT.
ON THE LOOKOUT
- Forward Grigori Denisenko scored Henderson’s lone goal in Saturday’s contest against Milwaukee. He now has goals in three straight games, scoring five points (3G, 2A) over that stretch. He and linemate Brendan Brisson, who has collected an assist on two of those three goals, will look to continue their point streaks in tonight’s game.
- Head Coach Ryan Craig looks to see the team carry their strong performance from Saturday into this afternoon’s matchup. “I loved our game tonight, I thought we were ready to compete right from the start,” he said after the game. “Even though it was zero-zero after the first, we kept coming at them. Our second period was probably as good a second period as we’ve played all year…And it came down to details. It starts with faceoffs, our puck support was really good.”
BEHIND ENEMY LINES
- Forward Phil Tomasino scored Milwaukee’s only goal in Saturday’s game, his seventh of the season. In 17 games with the Admirals, he has tallied 12 points (7G, 5A), including four (2G, 2A) in the team’s last five games. Tomasino also scored 20 points (7G, 13A) in 41 games this season with the Admirals’ NHL affiliate, the Nashville Predators.
- Forward Wade Allison potted the game-winning shootout tally for the Admirals on Saturday. Acquired by Milwaukee in a trade deadline deal for Denis Gurianov, Allison has scored two goals in seven games with the Admirals. In 46 games this season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, he netted 17 points (10G, 7A).
- Goaltender Troy Grosenick has played in 25 games with the Admirals this season. He holds a 16-6-0 record and averages 2.65 goals against with a .906 save percentage. Grosenick has earned two shutouts this season, including one against the Silver Knights on January 13.
